Have you ever had a recurring dream or vision that you've thought about at various stages throughout your life? Something that you've always wanted to do or intended to do - but seemed out of reach for whatever reason? I have, too.
In my dream, I see dozens of beautiful children's faces and smiles and feet jumping for joy as they tear into fresh socks and crisp notebooks and smelly markers and bright yellow pencils that still need sharpening.
I've been working with the Karibu Centre, a grass-roots community program organization that offers both pre-school and after school programs for children plus job readiness training for their families in Thika, Kenya.
What I fell in love with about Karibu is that it uniquely offers both education for the children of the community, while also empowering their parents/families with the life skills that will drive change and directly impact their families.
Next month, I am incredibly humbled to realize that life-long dream and travel to Nairobi, Kenya to deliver in-person all the smelly markers, new notebooks and yellow pencils that I can carry with me.
Here's where you come in.
One of the unique perks of frequent business travel are the small luxuries that airlines give here and there to appeal to jaded business travelers. And since I spent a lot of time with my friends at United Airlines last year, they have graciously allowed me to travel with and check (3) full size 70lb suitcases.
Guess what, friends? I intend to stuff every last corner of all three bags with as much as I possibly bring with me to these very needy families in Africa.
I need your help to make that happen.
The money I raise will be used to buy specific items outlined below requested by the school. They include:
- Children's books
- Construction paper for crafts
- Finger paints/art supplies

I have 2 weeks to raise money and collect donations in advance of my trip and I thank you in advance for your contribution!
