Jasmine’s Pregnancy Journey

Hello.
My name is Maritza, Im Jasmine’s older sister.
As the big sister it has always been my duty to protect and help her in anyway possible.
If I could give her the world I would In a heart beat.
Those who know Jasmine know what a true gem she is.
She’s already a super mom to a beautiful young lady and now is expecting two identical twin boys.
We've been really blessed with amazing parent that no matter how old we get they’re always willing to pitch in.
Her family and friends have been unbelievable supportive and helpful in any way possible but sometimes a little extra help is needed.
It truly takes a village.
She recently found out that one of her twins was showing signs of TTTS.
Those who don’t know what TTTS is it’s Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). It’s a prenatal condition in which twins share unequal amounts of the placenta’s blood supply resulting in the two fetuses growing at different rates.
She was then airlifted to OHSU on 5/3/24
to undergo surgery to help with TTTS.
Surgery was successful.
She was expecting to go home 2 days after her surgery but then she started to show and feel significant signs of additional pain which was very unusual with this procedure.
She had a full day of back to back labwork, ultrasounds and CT scans to figure why she was having so much pain and discomfort in her abdomen.
They found that she had a very large hematoma that caused all the pain.
She ended up staying another night being monitored until she was ready to go home.
With medications and rest she immediately felt better the following morning.
Today May 7th she was released and happened to also be her birthday.
Due to all the complications and high possibility of an early delivery she feels more comfortable staying near OHSU hospital.
The entire team of Doctors and Nurses have been amazing and it’s understandable.
She is a cosmetologist so therefore days she’s not physically at her job means she’s not making an income.
She was hoping to work up to her due date but that isn’t an option at this moment.
She has been under a lot of stress mentally and physically. She needs to focus on staying well for the arrival of her boys.
The funds will go towards hospital bills, baby needs, food, home bills, etc.
Lets help this amazing woman and her babies out.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
