Jazz's Dental Mission to Guatemala
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I've always wanted to go on a volunteer dental mission to help people in extreme poverty and was finally given the opportunity to achieve my lifelong goal.
In April 2024 I'll be travelling to Guatemala, providing free dental care to villagers in the remote community of La Union, Zacapa in the Merendon Mountains. The care I'll be giving isn't just cleaning teeth - I'll be providing emergency, and potentially life-saving dental treatment to villagers where medical and dental care is not accessible.
In addition to providing dental and medical care to people in the mountains, the organization I'm travelling with improves life for the villagers through scholarships, education, breakfast programs and other economic development programs.
I've set a goal of $3000 to help cover travel expenses, dental, medical and school supplies, and to support the charity I'm travelling with (CAMRE - Canadian Central American Relief Effort).
If you'd like to learn more about CAMRE and their missions, check out their website here.
Thank you so much for supporting my mission and helping provide critical dental care to the villagers who otherwise can't access it. I hope to continue volunteering for this organization in the future and that one day my family can join me.
