Jarrad Camille, now 20, was diagnosed in November 2019 with metastatic bowel cancer. Following eight months of invasive therapy and surgery, the doctors have recently advised that there is no further treatment available. Jarrad has now returned home to his mother Romina, father James and fifteen-year-old sister Tahsha. While his world has been flipped upside down, his love towards his family, loyalty to his friends, and devotion to his long-term girlfriend, Emily has fuelled him to continue fighting. Quiet by nature with a wicked sense of humour, Jarrad was an all-round hockey enthusiast, who represented Southern United Hockey Club from a junior to a senior level.
While his family retreat to have this precious time together, we, his extended family, are aiming to raise awareness and funds for them during this challenging time. These funds will be used to support him in making final decisions and arrangements, as well as relieving their financial burden and need to work.
With the news today, of Victoria going into lockdown, we are at a more significant loss, and our families will be unable to visit and provide practical support. As the family is still grappling with the diagnosis and the fear of losing Jarrad, this news may come as a shock to most of you. We continue to pray for him and ask that you respect his family's privacy and not contact them directly. Instead, we encourage you to donate and share your thoughts and prayers on this page. Jarrad and his family will greatly appreciate any donation, no matter how little.
