Janna's recovery

Hello everyone,

For those of you that do not know my name is Andrea and my beautiful big sister Janna has had a very rough year so far.

At the beginning on January she was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Unfortunately a month later she suffered a massive bleed from her tumor, and due to the amount of blood loss she suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury.

From February 6th to March 25th she was in the ICU at Toronto Western Hospital.

Due to the length of time unable to move she now has Critical illness neuropathy and myopathy. Basically, since she was in a bed for so long her muscles and nerves stopped working and she needs intense rebah to learn to walk and move normally again.

Since her care requirements are much higher then the average patient she requires Complex Continued Care, she is finally being transferred to West Park but it will be about $2000 moving forward for the care she requires.

Neither Janna nor myself are the type of people to ask for help, but to be honest I do not know where else to turn. My sister means the world to me. She has always been my best friend, my rock and my biggest support. Especially since we have lost both our Mum and Dad and our brother no longer lives in the province, our bond has gotten so much stronger knowing that we are really all each other has.

Janna is such an amazing person, always funny, kind, and willing to stand up for the underdog.

She has almost lost her life and fought through so bravely. She is battling cancer, a brain injury and so much more and she needs someone or some people to fight for her.

I know we are asking alot, but if anyone is able to donate a small amount to help with Janna's current health care costs it would be so greatly appreciated.
