FUCK CANCER!!!

January and the New Year of 2025 started rough and then turned upside down, inside out, and backwards.

Mom (Janet) was diagnosed with aggressive small/large cell lung cancer with mets to the brain and liver in April with less than six months to live.

She did not want to be a burden to anyone and did not want sympathy. So, she did not want anyone to know other than close family.

She has been fighting the fight and is now in her final days on hospice.

Those of you who know her, know that she has cared for many patients in her 28 years at hospice and 50 years overall in CNA care, and for her to now be the patient is extremely hard.

And if you know all of us kids, you know we are the main caretakers taking care of her 24/7 alongside her hospice family.

Even with help emotionally and physically, our family has taken a loss financially. A few of us siblings do not have paid time off from work, had to take a demotion, started a new job with no leave benefits as of yet, had to turn down a job offer, a couple had to travel from hours away, and others had to move back into mom's house to be available 24/7.

We have also had to handle some legal issues beyond our control. All while still supporting our families who are also grieving and helping as well to care for her and navigate this process of losing the rock of the family.

We never wanted to ask for help financially; however, we are now in need of a little help.

Any funds that we do not use will be donated to Sangre De Cristo Community Care where Janet has been employed for the last twenty-eight years, in her name.

We appreciate all the love and support over the last few months and in these final days to come.

Mom wants to tell everyone how she feels today about cancer.
