Janet Lidikay’s Family
Donation protected
My name is Maria Gleckl and I am a friend of the family of Janet Lidikay, who was involved in a major car accident on November 21, 2022. The Lord has put it on my heart to help the family shoulder the burden of losing their mom, sister and grandmother very unexpectedly.
After the accident, Janet was admitted to Chino Valley Medical Center and into the ICU. She sustained 7 broken ribs, a fractured sternum, a broken hand and had to be placed on dialysis due to an injury to her kidneys. Janet succumbed to her injuries and into the arms of Jesus on December 1, 2022, 1 day after her 70th birthday.
Janet Is survived by her daughter Maggi Mai, her son Mark, three brothers Rodney, Greg and Dale; her sister Jody and her 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Sebastian, Gabriel, Peyton, and Scarlet. Janet was preceded in death by her son Charlie Lidikay (2017) and her husband Billie Lidikay (2018), a retired Army Veteran and her husband for over 50 years.
I met Janet in August 2022 when she attended a women’s Cursillo weekend. I was blessed to spend four days with her and see her heart and her love for Christ. During that weekend every time we saw each other she would ask me “Maria do you love me? I would respond yes Janet I love you “, then I would say “Janet do you love me? and she would respond yes Maria I love you.”
I was also blessed to work with Janet November 10, 2022, at the next set of Cursillo weekends where she served as a rookie cook. The depth of our relationship and our love of Christ really bonded us. You never know why the Lord brings somebody into your life. I told Maggi that I truly believe Jesus placed me in Janet’s life because He knew her earthly life would soon be over and He would be bringing her home to be with Him.
The family is struggling, both emotionally and financially, while trying to honor Mom to the best of their abilities as the family grieves this loss.
God has put it on my heart to help, so I am being obedient to the Lord and asking you, if you are able, to donate what you can. Losing a loved one and grieving while trying to take care of all the details such as hospital bills, cremation and a memorial service add a burden that can seem to much bear. I ask that you please consider donating whatever you can. Every little bit helps.
I will leave you with the Bible scripture that was used at the last Cursillo weekend when Janet served.
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:11–13
