It's been the place you could go where everyone know's your name in Scituate for the past 50 years, and while the owners are optimistic about opening the doors of Jamie's N. Scituate again soon, the dedicated staff will still be immediately impacted by being unable to go to work as they had planned in the wake of the establishments recent fire which destroyed the entire building.
In true Scituate style, within hours of this terrible news spreading throughout the social-media sphere, residents were already asking how they could help - specifically, how they could help their neighbors that have all made it possible for all of us to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day of the way week, rain or shine.
While many in the community are already working on additional efforts to show support to the wonderful staff of Jamie's N. Scituate that have taken such great care of all us so many times, this GoFundMe will go directly to the employees to help offset the awful blow of suddenly being forced out of work just before the holiday season.
Since we won't be able to stop over the next few months to leave our usual gratuities, let's all pitch in what we can to leave the biggest tip possible for our friends and neighbors at Jamie's N. Scituate during what must be an extremly scary and unsure time for all of them!
FINAL UPDATE Funds will be released to and distributed to the employee's by Maura McMann before Thanksgiving 2017.
