Jamey “Bird” Metz - Giving Back to the Jack of All Trades

Wednesday March 19, 2025 my daddy, best known as Jamey or “Bird” was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital where he underwent a major emergency surgery.

Tomorrow marks 1 week since he was admitted, and, unfortunately, we do not have an estimated release date yet. However, once he is released, he will have an extensive recovery period before returning to work.

Those of you who know my daddy personally, know that him sitting still and not working is just not in his character. He loves to be on the go 24/7 and checking things off his to-do list. This will be, and already has been, a challenge for him to take it easy and let others do the heavy lifting…but it is necessary for him to get better.

For his entire life, he has given selflessly to everyone around him, whether it be checking under the hood of your car, putting some air in your tires before you hit the road, or installing your HVAC systems at the best rate to ensure you’re home is comfortable…he has done it all and then some. I truly cannot think of anyone who deserves a little weight lifted off their shoulders than him.

It’s been laid on my heart to give daddy a small “thank you” in return for all he’s given us. I prayerfully ask that you consider a small donation to help with his expenses until he is able to get back to doing the things that he loves. You know…working, fishing, riding around in his rail buggy, camping, cruising, all the things!

Most of all, I thank you and ask that you be in constant prayer for his healing. Specifically, that he will have full function in the areas where he has been experiencing set backs.
