James is our inspirational son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, uncle, friend, colleague — and a true shining light.

Throughout his life, James carried a genuine wish and purpose:

“To inspire others to heal.”

And he truly did. In ways big and small, seen and unseen, he over-delivered on that purpose while he was with us.

Now that James has left us, we want to continue what he started.

We will be establishing The James Barker Foundation (name TBC), a charitable foundation in his name. Its purpose will be to support individuals on their healing journeys — emotionally and/or physically — through encouragement, connection and, where possible, financial assistance.

Setting up a registered charitable foundation will take a few weeks.

In the meantime, for those who have kindly asked how they can donate now, we have created this GoFundMe page. All funds raised will be transferred to the foundation once it is formally established.
