Hello just to give a background of why I decided to do a go fund me. Father to my 5 children was a truck driver, semi pro football player and coach. James somehow developed a infection in his back which doctor said would require spinal surgery but he should be able to walk in a month or so. Which never happened James became a PARAPLEGIC unable to walk and not feel his lower half from hips down, that was the declining nightmare. James still fought the infections coming back so doctors were giving him strong antibiotics to help try to prolong this infection whatever it was. James developed RENAL FAILURE because of the antibiotics the infection’s also developed in his lower bones the surgeons thought it be best to remove his legs from soft bone to the good bone to try to prevent spread up the bone. He became a DOUBLE AMPUTEE. James also was undergoing rigorous treatment for his kidneys DIALYSIS 3 days a week. Then working with only one kidney that was failing still. James caught Covid-19 two times going to the hospital and we fought it off with prevention of anyone getting it in our house. James breathing got bad also requiring oxygen he also developed COPD and he was not a smoker ever. James on Easter Sunday April 17th 2022 took his last breath sometime in his sleep. This was unexpected this quickly. Honestly I didn’t plan for this I always kept hope. He was uninsurable but I had thought about paying for something to cover cost for funeral arrangements but felt guilty thinking that would feel like I’m giving up hope. Mind you myself with my son Tanner decided we would do IHSS for him that way we could be home with him. Financially this has been traumatizing for our family. Anything would be appreciated to help us get through this time.
