‘Jam’s Journey’ - Help support James’s cancer journey

Donation protected

Hi Everyone, we are writing this from our hearts on behalf of our family. We are all so heartbroken, having recently been told the worst news a family can hear.

James Davies (Jam) is just 46 years old and a very much loved and devoted dad of 4, grandad, partner, son and friend. He has been diagnosed with a grade 4 brain cancer (Astrocytoma), an aggressive form of cancer and has unfortunately been given just 12-18 months to live without Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy or 5 years with treatment.

For the first stage of Jam’s Journey, he had an awake craniotomy and resection of left frontal tumor. After waiting for the tumor to be tested (and graded as WHO grade 4 Astrocytoma), Jam has started his next stage of treatment but it is making him really poorly so we are looking at other treatment options such as those offered by international centres who can offer alternative therapies. The cost of these centres however start from £22,000 with accommodation sometimes being an additional cost, depending on the centre expenses and travel it all costs, so we are asking to raise £30,000 We have been in contact with a few different centres such as CeGat in Germany and Lithuania and another in Mexico called Hope4cancer. Two of these centres have spaces but we are now faced with trying to raise the funds needed to get Jam the treatment he so desperately needs. James would go away for 3 weeks start his treatment programme, which includes assesments and over 200 therapy sessions immunotherapies, supportive therapies I.Vs and also a 3 month home programme to follow and also 2 visits back to the treatment centre for further assesments. We are asking if you can kindly help/donate to help us raise the money for Jam’s journey and give him a better chance to beat this nasty illness.

Jam has his own business (Worcester Tree Surgeon) but has now had to stop working. He loved his job but due to the nature of his job, he is now unable to work.

Please, please, we ask can you help us in any way you can? Whether that be donating or sharing this page, or simply just keeping Jam in your thoughts.
Also, if there is anyone reading this who knows of any other treatment options around the world, please get in touch with any information or support. We really appreciate any help at this heartbreaking time for us all.
Thank you ❤️
