Jake/Help with rent after moms unexpected death

We lost Jake's mom Marla unexpectedly last month, (Oct 6, 2019) after multiple heart attacks. While it's been unbearable for her family & friends, its been especially hard on her oldest son, Jake. He was her caregiver for the past few years, as she was disabled & had a multitude of health problems. And he was even with her when she passed away, obviously traumatizing him. Me & Jake got engaged 1 week before his mom passed away & while we were planning to move in together in my home in California, we were not expecting it to happen so soon. The cost to break his lease is $2,500 (nope, they won't waive it under any circumstances ). His lease ends at the end of January. But the rent each month is $1150. It just makes sense for him to stay there until the end of his lease & give us time not only to pack his full household, but also go through his mom's belongings too. Without his mom chipping in for rent & other household expenses, he is just unable to make ends meet. We really can't afford to take out a loan we'd have to (and probably couldn't) pay back all while trying to save up for a memorial service for his mom next Summer & our wedding/honeymoon next Winter. It's just a lot going on for us right now & we both would appreciate some help, please. With this money I'd like to: Pay 2 x rent & the remaining bills associated. For anyone who knows Jake, they know what a huge heart he has and would help anyone else when he is able.
