Thanks for the overwhelming support. Our family is deeply moved by the generosity. The target amount has been reached within one hour of launch. We would like to redirect your donation to support the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne.

Jacob, Gloria and myself have spend most of 2021 at RCH. Apart from the medical support, the Good Friday Appeal supported families with counselling, in-ward education, art and music therapy, toys, games, snacks and drinks, even free gym within RCH to keep us sane. We are only the fortunate one, with many patients in the cancer ward staying for more than a year and few indefinite. Any further donations through GoFundMe will be transferred to the Good Friday Appeal.

Wilson’s (from JLL Melbourne office) five years old son Jacob was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer (ATRT) in February 2021. After a year of cancer treatment, Jacob is now cancer-free and returned to the same kindergarten he enjoyed before the diagnosis. The intensive cancer treatment and surgery have caused hemiparesis to his right side. Jacob’s mobility, arm hand fingers movement, speech, eating and drinking have been affected. Jacob has maintained positive in overcoming these challenges and making improvements in many areas.

Jacob’s kindergarten “Doncaster East Pre-school” has been very supportive throughout the cancer battle and recently facilitated his return. The kinder is in need of funding several items to cater to Jacob’s special needs. Unfortunately, not all items can be government-funded. Our target is to raise $2000 by 14th April 2022 for the kinder to purchase resources to support a more inclusive environment and an adjustable chair (https://doability.com.au/smirthwaite-juni) as recommended by Jacob’s physiotherapist. The chair can be transferred to another school once Jacob is ready for primary. Any extra donations will be used to purchase play equipment and learning kits that stimulate Jacob's right side of the body.
Special thanks to JLL, with every donation from JLL employee, JLL will match the equal amount. Please quote " JLL + your name" when making the donation.
