Help Jackson Broom Defeat DIPG!
Donation protected
2021 was supposed to be a new start and a better year. The first week of February, my sister and her husband took their middle son, Jackson (5yo) to All Children's Hospital after noticing some peculiar behaviors and instances over the previous few weeks. The diagnosis - DIPG - an aggressive, inoperable brain tumor, and from what we know, one of the worst, if not, the worst type of brain cancer in children.
The next steps for my sister's family is traveling to "CHOP" for a biopsy, which will then determine the route they take with radiation and a clinical trial. (Childhood Cancer) as a whole, is so under-funded, and "DIPG" only effects 200 - 300 children a year.
We appreciate all of your prayers and support throughout this journey. We know Jackson is a fighter and believe that he will get through this.
From my sister, Katelyn:
"We are clinging to God’s promises and praying for a miracle. God is already placing people in our path, in a short amount of time, who can offer medical trials. Our BIGGEST request is your prayers! We are desperate for your prayers! We believe God has the power to give Jackson complete healing on this side of heaven. And we plan on asking Him to do so with all our hearts! Receiving any sort of help has always been a difficult thing for Jeff and I to do. It is so humbling. We understand being on the other side of things and know what a gift it is to give. So we can’t thank you enough for any love and support and prayers you have given to our family! We don’t know what the next few days/weeks/months will look like, but we know God does, so we are trusting Him through this."
