Hi everyone, my name is Lilliana Hahn and early sunday morning on May 25th, my little brother Jack was in a serious motorcycle accident.

He made the split-second decision to throw himself off his bike to avoid crashing into other drivers. It was an act of instinct and selflessness, but it left him badly hurt.

He was med flighted from Lawrence General to Beth Israel, and the injuries he suffered are heartbreaking. His jaw is broken in two places, multiple broken bones in his face, massive laceration to the back of his neck, a broken right arm, multiple spinal fractures near his head, nerve damage sustained to his entire left arm, fractured and broken ribs, and a fractured left arm. No one, especially someone his age, should have to go through this kind of pain. He plans to have surgery starting tomorrow to repair the first part of his jaw.

We’re all still trying to wrap our heads around everything that’s happened. Jack has a long recovery ahead of him, and we want to do whatever we can to support him.
