Hi everyone, welcome to my GoFundMe page my name is Jack I am currently 13 years old. I have an amazing opportunity to travel with Camps International to Kenya-Africa 2025.

The expedition will be for four weeks and include community development work, environmental projects and wildlife conservation. It will also include additional elements like treks, a safari, seeing the amazing wildlife and experiencing the African culture. We will be learning how to make fires and paper from elephant dung, yes elephant dung! We will also get to know the inspiring Mamas of the local village who will teach us traditional skills and meet the world-famous Maasai Tribe. Hopefully, I can learn to speak some Swahili too.

I am trying to raise money using GoFundMe and other fundraising activities such as sponsored walks, 24-hour silence, packing shopping bags at supermarkets, digital silence, organizing events at school, doing jobs in my local community and more. I have an easyfundraising account, this is an App for online shoppers. You shop the same as you would normally, except for logging into the App first and searching for your desired store. Companies will then contribute a small percentage of the sale to the fundraising account.

Now, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me and I am so excited to be doing this, but it’s not a holiday. Yes, I get to see and experience wonderful things but I am going there to make a difference. The core objectives of this expedition are to participate in projects that raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Africa. Raise their communities’ standard of living and assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve vulnerable habitats.

I am hoping that this experience will teach me many things, help with confidence and growth and how to be the best version of myself as a global citizen. I am sure to face many challenges and will also encounter some strange everyday ways of life but surely they will all shape my growth into adulthood.
