Knights of Columbus Delran Project

My name is Jack Pappas and I am a Life scout with Troop 25 of Delran.  The money raised from this Go Fund Me page will be utilized for my Eagle Project.  The beneficiaries of the Eagle Project is The Knights of Columbus, Charter 1436 located in Delran, NJ.  I would like to raise $3,000 for the Knights of Columbus to help repurpose their back property which has a downhill grade that leads toward the Rancocas Creek.  The idea is to make the property level ground, spread 6 inches of topsoil then finish off with grass seed to create a lush new lawn.  This project will allow the Knights of Columbus to use the newly level property as a revenue source for rentals, such as weddings, group picnics and BBQs for local residents and or businesses.

The Knights of Columbus of Delran is a prolific philanthropic organization that has been in existence since 1909.  They raise money all year long to give back to the local community by sponsoring a Tootsie Roll drive for mentally challenged citizens, holding their annual golf outing for their scholarship fund and providing Toys for Tots to the Marine Corps.  Their most well-known philanthropy is the food basket program during the Christmas season.  All of the food, for a full holiday meal, including a turkey, is donated by the Knights of Columbus and personally delivered by the members to 200 local families in need.

My hopes are that the Knights of Columbus will benefit from my Eagle Project by continuing to raise money to help others in need throughout our community.
