I am raising money to support my nephew Jack Frazier and his parents in hopes to aid them financially in such a difficult and frighting time. On April 16th, 2019 Jack developed a blood clot in his brain causing a severe thrombotic stroke on the right side of his brain. Due to the stroke Jack has lost much of the function throughout the entire left side of his body. In the days and weeks after the stroke Jack suffered from many seizures each day, and was soon moved to a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Austin, Texas. Jack has endured what I hope no infant would ever have to experience. He has been through and still continues to undergo many tests in effort to identify the root cause of the clot yet there is still no definitive reason as to why the it developed in the first place. Additionally while Jack was in the hospital he developed plagiocephaly which means part of his skull has become flattened from time spent on his back while in the hospital. He will be required to wear a corrective helmet 23 hours a day for the next 3-5 months.

Jack's life for the foreseeable future will be full of close neurological monitoring, physical  therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy all in hopes to combat the damage caused by the stroke. As I'm sure most of you know this level of care can be a great financial burden in addition to the fear and worry of an infant's health. No one should ever have to experience what this family has, but life is full of the unexpected, and here we are worrying about the future of the newest member of our family and what we can do to help him.
