Snowden School Outdoor Classroom


My name is Jack Danley, and I am a scout at Troop 13 at Trinity United Methodist Church and am currently a senior at Central High School.

As a Snowden alumnus, I wanted my Eagle Scout project to benefit the school that gave me so much. After meeting with the principal Ms. Stallsmith and several teachers, I decided that the best way to return service to the school was to build a message-board style whiteboard like the image below to install in the outdoor classroom area near the middle school entrances.

This project will give teachers and students the opportunity to liven up instruction with a change of scenery. As a scout, I value the impact being in the outdoors can have on youth, so I hope to give students more of an opportunity to experience nature in their daily lives.
