Jace and Jacob welcome to our world!

Little Jacob and Jace were born 27 weeks and 4 days on 5/27/21 at Vineland Insipira. They both did great with growing and breathing until Jacob somehow got a blood infection around 9 days old. They had him and his brother transported to DuPont Children's Hospital in Delaware immediately where they found this infection had went to his heart, brain, bones & joints. He's had multiple surgeries to drain infection pockets in his joints. The infection took weeks to clear. Finally got negative culture on June 20th which then started 6 weeks of antibiotics. He was getting better everyday until July 19th when he totally went back downhill and needed to be transferred to the cardiac ICU. The spot of infection on his Mitral valve in his heart is now causing heart failure. He's on meds to help his heart pump and so many other meds to help him. His liver and kidneys are failing so he's on meds for that as well. Jace is absolutely perfect, he's just learning to eat from the bottle and he will be able to come home with mommy and daddy! He hasn't had any set backs or issues thank god!!!!

Coming to dupont everyday and being called back because he's getting surgery or a procedure has really been a struggle for Kody and Kimmy. They spend all of their money on being with the twins and trying to juggle all of this. No parent should ever have to go through this or struggle going through this! Im asking if anyone can, please help them during this really rough time I know it would mean the world to them! Both of them would give the shirt off their backs to help anyone in need. We also would like to keep all prayers going for little Jacob! ❤️
