Freddie’s Fight
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Dan and I’m fundraising for Freddie who has very recently been diagnosed with cancer. Freddie hadn’t been himself since the start of the summer holidays this year and after a long few days in hospital, at just 7 years old, Freddie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Freddie is now on a very long road of treatment that will last at least 3 years. He is going to have to go through some very intense chemotherapy treatments and lots of lumbar punctures, which are going to be a lot for his little body to take. It’s going to be a real fight for him and, as you can imagine, a really difficult time for his whole family too.
Freddie’s mum, Julia, will need to take a break from work for a while to focus on Freddie’s treatment and healing and as her income is the only one for their household this is going to make things very hard for them all, especially in the current times with the price of living rising by the minute.
In addition to this, Freddie has Autism and his brother also has Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and other associated special educational needs. So as well as the money worries, Julia is having to tailor Freddie’s treatment to cater for his special needs, manage his brothers needs and keep their house running as well as she can for everyone else too!
I am fundraising by climbing Mount Snowdon with my brother Josh, my friend Lloyd and my girlfriend Holly on Saturday the 5th of November, which is the highest point in the British Isles outside of the Scottish Highlands at an elevation of 1,085 metres, and to make it as hard as possible we are following the Crib Goch Path which is the most challenging route to take.
I completely appreciate times are hard for all of us at the moment, but any money you can spare to donate would be so gratefully received. Your donations will pay towards any necessary equipment and treatment for Freddie, chip away at their monthly bills, help to pay their mortgage, cover the endless hospital parking tickets, help towards the petrol back and fourth and even help cover their weekly food shop to make their every day life that little bit easier and stress free.
Freddie’s house also isn’t in the best repair at the moment with lots of different things that need doing. For example, the toilet is leaking, there is no door on Freddie’s bedroom for privacy while receiving treatment and the garden is currently inaccessible for him in his wheelchair, which is such a big thing for him as he isn’t a huge fan of public places at the moment. So if you are a tradesman and would like to offer help in this way instead please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you so much in advance for all of your help. I honestly can’t begin to explain how grateful we are.
