Helping a Marine Veteran Rebuild His Life

Updates: Byford Law Firm has been hired for his representation. Thank you all! ❤️

Hello dear family and friends, we hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out on behalf of our beloved brother and friend Justin (aka JP).

Growing up I always wanted an older brother, but instead God sent me a kind, talented and very creative younger brother who soon would become an active duty United States Marine. His service to our country was marked by discipline, courage, and sacrifice. While his military experience shaped him into a committed and hardworking individual, it also left him with invisible wounds in the form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), along with insomnia and anxiety which he has worked hard to manage over the past several years after service.

After dedicating four years of his life in service to our country—sacrificing time with family, enduring the hardships of deployments/combat, and carrying the invisible weight that many veterans silently bear—he is now facing challenges that no one should have to face alone. Like so many of our nations heroes, the transition back to civilian life has not been easy. Between health struggles, financial strain, and the heavy toll of service-related issues, he is doing his best to stay strong—but he needs a helping hand to get back on his feet.

Justin now finds himself in a season of hardship and in dire need of our support. On August 3rd, 2025, he suffered from days of fever, lack of sleep and a manic episode. During this first ever mental breakdown, he was initially picked up on the side of the road and charged with disorderly conduct. He was taken to jail instead a hospital. After getting released just a few hours later, he walked an hour down the road with no phone, wallet or car, and by mistake took a vehicle. He was shortly after apprehended. He has no memory of this event whatsoever.

The recent events that led to his arrest occurred during a severe mental-health crisis and does not reflect the man we know. Justin is a respectful young man with a strong moral compass. He is deeply committed to improving his life and contributing positively to his community when he is in a stable environment and receiving the right support.

We are working towards supporting his participation in the Veterans Treatment Court or other
mental-health diversion programs.

This campaign is to help cover urgent needs such as:
Medical and mental health care support
Legal assistance prior to his Sept 25th court date

Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping regain stability and dignity. More than anything, your support is a reminder to him that his sacrifices were not forgotten, and that his community stands with him—just as he once stood bravely for all of us.

If you’re unable to give financially we completely understand, and your prayers and encouragement are so very much appreciated. Together, we can show him that he is not alone, and that love and gratitude can carry him through this very difficult time.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering a donation, for prayers, and for helping a Marine who once fought for us all.
