23rd Annual Baja Challenge
Donation protected
Once again, San Diego’s real estate/building and related industries are being challenged to build homes for destitute families in Mexico. Our 2023 goal is to build 20 homes. No experience is necessary, but it is greatly appreciated.
Each team is responsible for raising the $7,000 cost of materials per house and providing a volunteer building crew. An additional $800 can also be donated, at each team's option, to provide an outhouse for the family whose home they are building.
When: Saturday, October 14, 2023
All day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Who: Open to all real estate-related companies (no construction skill required):
Commercial Real Estate Brokerage, Construction Companies, Architects, Banks, Title Companies, Residential Brokerage, Developers, and Real Estate Organizations.
Where: Exact area TBD.
Each house is built for an eligible family who owns their small lot (qualified by Project Mercy). We will meet at the Otay Mesa Border at 6:00 AM (see directions). The directions link will be updated closer to the event, but in the meantime it includes information you'll need on the ID requirements for crossing the Border.
Why: A wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community and to work with colleagues in our field.
