Katie’s fundraiser

Hi my name is Mandy and I’m trying to raise funds for my best friend Kate who is having open heart surgery in the next couple of weeks .

Kate works as a learning support assistant in a school for children with learning difficulties but has had to go on sick leave due to her heart condition . Kate has pericarditis and has been struggling I. For a while now but can no longer work as she prepares for her surgery .

Kate is married and has a son , Kate’s husband works long hours but like most families at the moment this just scrapes them by and without Kate’s wages it’s really tough .

kate will be having surgery just under an hour away so added cost of fuel etc and her husband will have to take some time off work to care for Kate when’s she’s home obviously we will all rally round too but am unable to help financially even though I also work .

Kate is the most giving person I know and just want to make things slightly easier for her and her family and take away the added financial stress .

Starting this fundraiser is way out of my comfort zone but need to help somehow .

i will be grateful for anything we can raise for this beautiful human and her family .
