A few years ago I used to tease a friend of mine about how old he would be at his youngest child's high school graduation. That all seems a little funny now, because Teresa and I have been on an unexpected journey for quite some time.
We have seen a move to a new state, Teresa has started a brand new line of work, and I will be in my mid-sixties when my youngest graduates high school.
We are currently working through the lengthy and complicated process of adopting a young boy. He will soon be three years old. Adopting a toddler when we have three grown children and three grandchildren was not something we really planned on doing. We feel this is a great new adventure that God has for us. We are excited about sharing our life and love with our precious new son.
The only big concern we have right now is paying the massive legal fees. We were shocked when we learned how expensive the adoption process is and knew we would not be able to just write a check without massive financial impact. I can't think of a time when I have made a major decision based on funds. God has always made a way. Many of you have supported us and our ministry efforts over the years. We thank you, and hope you will consider helping again.
