Help for my Parents!

Hi everyone, my name is Alaina. My mom, Bonnie, was recently diagnosed with late stage, inoperable, Pancreatic cancer. She was hospitalized shortly after her diagnosis due to pancreatitis from a procedure she had done for the cancer. After almost 3 weeks and two hospitalizations she is home on a tube feed, fighting this battle with her family by her side. My mom was mostly healthy and still working as an RN when she got sick and so my parents income has been cut in half.

In the recent past, an addition to my parents home was started, and due to some unfortunate events, it was left unfinished. I am wanting to raise funds to help my parents finish this addition. My mom’s current bedroom/bathroom is on the second level of their home. I know there will be a time where she will not be able to navigate the stairs safely. Once completed this addition to their home will have everything on one level, including a small kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, a small living space and a cozy little porch. I want what time my mother has left to be spent enjoying every single second in a space where she can spend time with her family and friends and not have to worry what expense is left behind for my dad when she is gone. This would also be a safe space for her when she will no longer be strong enough to walk up and down the stairs.

I first off want to ask everyone to pray for my mother, her life has been flipped upside down, shortly before retiring. Pray for our family as we navigate this tragic illness and support our mom, wife, Mimi, daughter, sister and friend in whatever way we can. Lastly, if able, donate towards helping my parents make the rest of my mom’s precious time here special and as stress free as possible.
