Hi! My name is Martha and I am eighteen years old. I am going to volunteer in Majur, Croatia (on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina) for one week in June with nine other college students. This area of Croatia was badly affected by the Yugoslav Wars. Many of the men of the village have died or disappeared due to the historic conflicts.

The village I will volunteer in needs to be rebuilt. We will be working with the mayor of the town to assist with repairs, painting, and other manual jobs. With the help of our group from Ireland, we aim to work with the people of the village to instill hope for the future.

All donations will be used for project costs: travel to and within Croatia, food, and work materials.
