Our family after the fire.
Donazione protetta
Last night our family home in Bridgetown burnt to the ground. My sister Hannah lived there with her three young children. Fortunately everyone is safe and no-one was hurt physically.
Back in about 1992 Mum and Dad bought this gorgeous cottage and raised us girls there. Hannah has been living there for about seven or eight years. We hate to ask but in the the last 5 years both Mum and Dad both had to quit work to manage cancers and treatment. Sadly this has taken a huge financial toll and when times are tough the insurance simply isn't affordable. In October Dad lost his battle to lymphoma and the idea of the clean up without him seems insurmountable.
The town is rallying around Hannah and for that we are incredibly grateful. If anyone is able to spare a financial donation I will ensure the money goes to help Mum with the block clean up and help Hannah get set up again.
