Izizwe holiday programme
Donation protected
Every child deserves a break.
Izizwe Projects is a non-profit organization based in the Walmer Township in Gqeberha (previously Port Elizabeth), South Africa.
During the week of March 31st, children in Walmer have a five-day holiday. This means there is no school and no designated place for them to go during the day. The Izizwe Holiday Programme creates a safe and happy environment for children aged 2 to 18, keeping them off the streets and engaged in several activities.
The money we raise will be used to provide lunch for every child during the five-day holiday. Additionally, we will use the funds to cover the rent for the space that allows us to keep the children safe, off the streets, and actively engaged.
We rely heavily on volunteers to keep our programs running, but it is our local team who are the backbone of our organization. These guys work tirelessly to execute our programs which includes swimming lessons in the warm summer months, dental hygiene, English lessons, dance and sports education
