IVF TREATMENT
Hi, my name is Mae. I am writing on behalf of my partner and I trying to undergo IVF treatment. Just at the age of 25 my now fiancé suffered with testicular cancer meaning a removal of a testicle and removal of his spleen. During this time my partner was explained how he would receive ivf of three rounds under the NHS, my partner had then had this sperm frozen in hopes for his future.
We had met a year later and instantly clicked, we fell in love and my partner accepted me in every way I could have wished for. I (Mae) had a son at a young age from a previous relationship, who is the light of my life. I love being a mum I believe it is what I was always meant to be. My partner loves my child and is a fantastic step dad, however he would like to father his own child. After being together for 5 years we began the process of an IVF after promises from the nhs that this would be funded. Unfortunately to our surprise due to myself having a child, my partner and I are no longer entitled to nhs funding and the only way to have a child together would be paying privately despite being infertile due to cancer and this being taken away from him at the age of 25. We are both working, we private rent and I guess just your ordinary family however costs privately of ivf are completely out of our reach. We have tried to appeal through the NHS as we believe my partners circumstances are completely different however they go by guideline basis’.
I am asking from the kindness of your hearts to please donate towards myself and my partner. And if not myself then the next family that is in the same situation. Cancer can happen to anyone and has effected my partners life in every way possible and not only that now stripped him from fathering his own child. Any funds will go towards our fertility treatment, I believe life is too short and my partner deserves the same rights as any man, to be a dad.
Anything makes a difference and is the exact reason my partners life was saved in the first place, to live one.
Thank you if you have read this far, I hope as this has effected my family to make a difference in this sector with the NHS as this can effect anybody and not everyone can afford the luxuries of spending thousands just to have a child of our own due to a horrendous disease. We appreciate every single donation and I hope to be the voice of families affected and finally have the child we have a been dreaming about. Thank you greatly.
We would like to also disclose that we have tried to appeal through the nhs, tried multiple charities and unfortunately this is our last hope.
Thank you all so much so far for donations towards us, it means the world and hopefully we can be the voice for young men effected by testicular cancer and the after math of it.
