Help Us Become Parents Through IVF
Hi, we’re Patsy and Daniel Hall, and our dream is simple: to become parents.
Our love story began online in 2016. After months of talking, we finally met in person, and it was love at first sight. Daniel was serving in the military in Kansas, and I was in my home state of Arkansas. Just months later, we began building a life together. In 2018, after a sweet and untraditional proposal (yes, it happened in the car while I was driving!), we eloped. We didn’t have the big wedding I dreamed of, but we had each other and that was more than enough.
We’ve overcome so many challenges together. Daniel retired after 20 years of service to our country. We worked hard, became financially stable, and even purchased his childhood home in Virginia Beach. But through all of life’s milestones, one dream has never changed, we’ve always wanted children.
For me, that dream came with challenges. I’ve been overweight my entire life, and I knew carrying a child at my size could put both me and our baby at risk. In January 2023, I committed to changing my life and our future — losing 144 pounds naturally over two years to give myself the best chance at a healthy pregnancy.
Daniel’s journey came with its own obstacles. Years ago, during his first marriage, he had a vasectomy he didn’t truly want, trying to save that relationship. It took us years to save $10,000 for a reversal, which we paid for in February 2024. We were so excited and over the moon when he had his vasectomy reversal.
Then came the heartbreak... In November 2024, we learned the reversal failed. Scar tissue had formed, and his counts were so low that we were told the only way for us to have a child together would be through IVF, something that will cost us $50,000 or more for 3 rounds of IVF.
We felt crushed. It had taken us years just to save for the reversal. Now, faced with a much bigger number and time not on our side (I am 32, Daniel is 47), this dream feels impossible without help.
We’ve been hesitant to ask, but our TikTok community has encouraged us to create this GoFundMe. We know times are hard for many people, but even the smallest donation or a share of our story could bring us closer to becoming parents.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, donating, and supporting us through this journey. We are holding onto hope for a baby Hall in 2026 and we can’t wait for the day we finally hold our little one in our arms.
With love,
Patsy & Daniel Hall
(And our dog, Koda)
