IVF for Amanda and Danny

Hi! My names Amanda, I've started this GoFundMe in hopes of helping my husband and I raise funds for IVF. For those of you who don't know, IVF is a form of infertility treatment and is VERY expensive. Here's a little glimpse of our story.

Danny and I have been married almost 8 years and have my awesome step-son Collin who is 11. Soon after Danny and I were married we began planning and trying to have a baby. After a year of trying with no success doctors began to run tests and diagnosed me with something called P.C.O.S. Some people are still able to conceive naturally with this diagnoses but my doctors were not sure I was one of them.

Over the past 6+ years I have undergone many treatments, procedures, and trying every medication under the sun with no success. This has been an emotionally taxing and expensive journey.

I am currently 34 and at the age of 35 pregnancies are considered high risk. Because of this and because we have tried many treatments over the years my doctors have suggested we try IVF. While that is an exciting next step it’s also a very expensive one!

Our health insurance doesn’t cover any of our treatment which at the lowest will be about $10,000 but our doctors advised us this past week that we should expect funds to exceed that as that cost doesn’t include any needed medications.

As I have had the chance to share this with some friends they have expressed a desire to help us meet this goal financially and encouraged me to give the chance to others to help bless us with a child.

We would also appreciate any prayers as we navigate this. Making the decision to try IVF wasn’t an easy one and to be honest we are still nervous traveling down this road.

We have been and are prepared to save for as long as we need to but if you would like to help us bring our child into this would financially we would be so appreciative!
