Hello everybody,
I am Maria and this is the picture of my baby Ivanna who was born at 24 weeks and weighed only 390 grams. I had a difficult pregnancy condition and doctors gave no hope for me to have a baby who will survive and thrive, yet I did not give up! One doctor said that with such a low birth weight there is one in a million chance that my baby will survive and be well if I agree to delivery her! Doctors were convincing me to terminate this pregnancy... So far my daughter Ivanna is beating the odds! Ivanna still has a lot to overcome but she is doing well and will be turning one month old on April 20th! So far my story and my blog has encouraged a lot of women not to give up!

I live in the hospital for almost two months, and will spend another 3-5 months here.
I have a lot of extra financial expenses due to this situation and I had to stop working much earlier than expected. I don't have any benefits or maternity pay due to being self-employed.
