Ivanhoe Grammar School Cambodian service trip

Hi, I’m Sophie. And in the June holidays of 2024 I’m attending the Ivanhoe grammar school service trip to Cambodia. Students have been challenged to raise $500 each to assist communities and local towns that we are visiting. Ivanhoe’s partners for this project are:

• Peak Sneang Village CYC Youth Centre - tertiary education support, septic systems, dams and painting schools and hospitals.

• 48 Colleurs School Village School Junior and Senior Students

• Neak Krawan School

• Starfish School NGO Junior School

• Ang Beong Chak School Government Junior School

• Koy Tep School Government Junior School

• Children For a Better Future – Scholarship Fund for Secondary students

• Angkor Kids Centre Village School Junior Students

• Char Kraom School Government Junior School - improving facilities and water quality

• Happy Football Cambodia NGO providing social services using soccer as the framework - equipment and hire of facilities for street kid football programs as well as working with disadvantaged youth through the medium of soccer

The money that is raised is used to help our partners assist the poorest young people in Cambodia get better educational opportunities and get out of poverty. The partners we work with use the funds raised for necessities such as building Community centres, schools, playgrounds, educational resources, scholarships, and funding that support these institutions' provide.
