It's time for AmeriMasala. Unity Through The Arts

The AmeriMasala is Erie, Pa's first and only cultural festival that celebrates the cultural diversity in the multi-disciplinary arts. We are one of the few, if not the only arts focused entity that has diversity, inclusion and accessibility to the arts throughout the community as its mission statement.

Over the years, Erie has been called out as the “worst place for black people to live”. As the highest rate of poverty in the country for black and Latino children. Continued racial red-lining has been highlighted. Pennsylvania has one of the highest rates in white hate group activity being ranked 3rd nationally. Erie past and recent history, and it’s defacto segregation tells one why the AmeriMasala is needed especially in these decisive times.

In this precarious time, we live in, The AmeriMasala seeks to inspire a tradition of a community philosophy which promotes the value and nobility of all people and encourage dialogue across the lines of race ethnicity, gender and class through assessable public presentations of cultural arts, workshops and lectures.

Help us continue to build our annual tradition of unity event.
