It takes a village: Support for the Wansha Family

Hi, my name is Shannon, my sister Stacey and brother in law John need all the support they can get right now as they have the fight of their lives ahead of them.

Two weeks ago John was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma. He had melanoma removed from behind his ear two years ago and up until this point we thought that it was gone. It has spread to both his lungs, his liver, spleen, spine and bones. He is currently awaiting results from a PET scan he had done last week to see if it is elsewhere, but he was started on immunotherapy last week and will get his next infusion in 2 weeks. He is also awaiting results from some genetic testing he had done last week to see if he is a candidate for targeted therapy; we won’t know if this is an option for another week or so. He is in a lot of pain and dealing with significant nausea. Medications are helping when he is able to take them.

Stacey and John have two beautiful kids together, Raelynn who is 3 years old and Johnathan who is just over a year old.

Stacey and John would never go out of their way to ask for help, so that is my main purpose here. Help me help them.

They have a long road ahead of them, let's try to take as much stress and weight off their shoulders as we can. Donating will help with things such as gas money, groceries, medical bills, childcare for the kids, and financial support so they can spend this time together as a family and Stacey can be there to care for John as needed.

It takes a village so let's do just that and show them that their village is there for them and can wrap our love tight around them in support.
