Meet Israel Gomez. He is Deaf and intellectually disabled and had been a ward of the state of Texas for most of his life. Kristy Krammer is a sign language interpreter who has taken it upon herself to become his legal guardian. Since no one else in his life has ever taken the time to fully learn his unique communication style, which is a combination of ASL and home signs, Kristy is a godsend to Israel. She plans to make sure his legal rights are not ignored, and he can meet his full potential. It is quite expensive to go thru the process to become his legal guardian! I would love to help Kristy find the funds to change this young man's life. Israel just wants to part of a family, and he fits perfectly into this one!
