✨ Island Children of Wonder - steun ons project in Senggigi! ✨
Hallo! Wij zijn Dominique en Verena Sabrina en samen starten wij een vrijwilligersproject in Senggigi, Lombok (Indonesië). Met ons project Island Children of Wonder willen we 20 weeskinderen van 7 tot 12 jaar een warme, veilige en inspirerende plek geven na schooltijd. Help jij ons mee?
Waarom dit project?
Veel kinderen in Senggigi groeien op zonder stabiel thuis en zonder iemand die ze stimuleert of begeleidt. Na schooltijd zijn ze vaak op zichzelf aangewezen. Juist die uren willen wij vullen met spel, creativiteit, Engelse les, sport en een gezonde fruit- of lunchpauze.
Wij geloven dat spelen meer is dan plezier: het geeft kinderen zelfvertrouwen, structuur en een gevoel dat ze ertoe doen. Voor kinderen zonder ouders of vaste basis is dat onmisbaar.
Hoe wordt het geld gebruikt?
Jouw donatie helpt ons met:
- Fruit en lunches voor de kinderen
- School- en leermaterialen (bijv. flashcards, boeken, schrijfspullen)
- Knutsel- en creatieve materialenSport- en spelartikelen
- Transport en kleine excursies (bijvoorbeeld strand of museum)
- Het geven van een vrijwilligersbijdrage aan een lokale inwoner die helpt met begeleiden en vertalen
- Het toekomstbestendig maken van dit project
Hoe komt het geld bij de kinderen?
We werken samen met Project Sandbox, een Duitse organisatie die reeds actief is in met vrijwilligersprojecten in Lombok. Dankzij hen kunnen wij dit project opzetten en zorgen dat het geld transparant en veilig wordt besteed. Alle donaties worden door ons direct gebruikt voor de kinderen en de activiteiten in Senggigi.

Hello! Our names are Dominique and Verena Sabrina and together we are starting a volunteer project in Senggigi, Lombok (Indonesia). With our project Island Children of Wonder we want to give 20 orphaned children between the ages of 7 and 12 a warm, safe and inspiring place after school. Will you help us?
Why this project?
Many children in Senggigi grow up without a stable home and without someone to guide or encourage them. After school they are often left on their own. We want to fill those hours with play, creativity, English lessons, sports and a healthy fruit or lunch break.
We believe play is more than just fun: it gives children confidence, structure and the feeling that they matter. For children without parents or a stable home, this is essential.
How will the money be used?
Your donation will help us with:
- Fruit and lunches for the children
- School and learning materials (e.g. flashcards, books, notebooks)
- Creative and art supplies
- Sports and play equipment
- Transport and small excursions (e.g. to the beach or museum)
- A volunteer contribution to a local community member who helps with guidance and translation

How does the money reach the children?
We are working together with Project Sandbox, a German organization already active in Lombok with volunteer projects. Thanks to them we can set up this project and ensure that all funds are used transparently and safely.
