The Islaamic Center of Medford Coram (ICMC) was founded in 1992. (ICMC) is a nonprofit, religious organization. ICMC is located North of the Long Island Expressway (LIE), Exit 64, East of 112 and South of Granny Road, at 15 Lee Lane, Medford 11763, NY. The main objectives of the members at that time were to maintain the Islamic values and cultural needs of the Muslim community. It was also the intention of the members to promote the religious and cultural wellbeing of the children and future generations of the community.

Practically, the Masjid started serving the community in 2005 when our respected Imam Shaykh Muti ur Rahman moved from Queens, NY to Medford, Long Island. The Masjid (which at that time was a small house converted to a Masjid) then started to offer daily prayers, Friday prayers, evening classes for kids, and weekly Dars-e-Quran for adults.

In 2008 we purchased a piece of land (3.65 Acres - the largest parcel of privately owned land of any Masjid on Long Island) to establish a proper Islamic center along with a community center to serve all.

In 2016 ICMC was able to get the official building permit from the town and started building a new Masjid.

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share the following recent updates regarding the Masjid construction project:

The stucco work on the building has been completed, with only the borders remaining.

The elevator equipment has been installed.

The carpet has also been installed.

With the help of Allah ‎ﷻ and your continued generosity, we hope to complete the parking lot soon. However, we urgently need to pay off the General Contractor’s debts to finalize the remaining work and make the Masjid operational for activities.
