Hello, my name is Isabelle Lester, and in 2027 I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Tanzania with Camps International to take part in a 4‑week community and conservation expedition.

I’m really passionate about helping others. I’m involved in Scouts, RAF Air Cadets, and my local Methodist Church, where I help run puppet shows and children’s holiday clubs. These experiences have helped me build confidence, leadership, and a real love for supporting my community.

During the expedition, I’ll be working alongside local people on projects such as:

Improving school facilities

Supporting environmental and sustainability work

Helping with community‑led initiatives that benefit children and families

This trip will challenge me to become more independent, resilient, and globally aware. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and give something meaningful back to communities who face daily challenges.

To take part, I need to raise £5,500, which covers travel, accommodation and insurance. I’m working hard through fundraising events, volunteering, and saving, but I can’t reach this goal alone.
