Isabelle's Food Pantry Shed Eagle Project
Donation protected
Hello there!
My name is Isabelle Chang. I am a Scout in Troop 7272, an all-girl troop in Boy Scouts of America. My troop is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. We are one of the first females in BSA Scouting USA after over 100 years of exclusive membership to boys!
I am doing an Eagle Service Project to benefit RSM Care’s Food Pantry in Rancho Santa Margarita. The food pantry serves over 250 families. The shed will help RSM Cares store more food to serve the increasing number of families needing assistance.
Because of Covid-19, more families are struggling, and necessities like food are even higher in demand.
Their current metal/plastic shed has been broken into several times. The loss is heartbreaking. The metal shed gets extremely hot and is not ideal for food storage. The new and larger woodshed I will build will help provide them with a second shed that is larger, cooler with more storage space and better security. I hope to build the shed sometimes in the coming weeks.
I am building a shed from scratch to save money and maximize storage space. Still. I will need to raise about $2000 to help pay for lumber and other materials/supplies. All money raised over what is needed to build this wood shed will go directly to RSM Cares to help them to continue to serve the community and possibly replace the metal shed with a second, much needed, wood shed.
You can visit RSM Cares Food Pantry for more information on their program at https://www.belltowerfoundation.org/programs.html.
You can also visit troop 7272 at https://troop7272.mytroop.us/home
Thank you and have a great day,
Isabelle Chang
