Isabella's sensory development
Donation protected
Isabella is a miracle baby who has battled through grade 4 IVH bleeds, hydrocephalus requiring a vp shunt insertion and as a result she has cerebral palsy and a severe vision impairment and of course ongoing hydrocephalus. Isabella receives regular physio/hydrotherapy and visual sensory stimulation.
We have to take her to children centres and places that have sensory equipment to help support her needs and development. And at times this can be very challenging due to having other children to also care for. Unfortunately Isabella picks up infections and colds very easily due to her history of being so premature born at just 25 weeks gestation. She is now 15 months old with a corrected age of 11 months and we are trying to raise money to help support and buy a sensory voyager trolley by rhinouk which is specialist sensory equipment to meet her exact requirements now and in the future. We can Taylor make the voyager to suit her needs and it will be specially made and maintained.
This portable unit can be transferred throughout our home so we can acccess sensory stimulation whenever we need to in the comfort of our own home.
It has a range of sensory stimulants including a bubble tube, fibre optics, light therapys, feel and touch compartments, sound and much more.
We have been advised that this equipment would be so beneficial to her development of the brain.
Unfortunately it comes with a massive price tag, and we are asking everyone if at all possible to help us fund this to support our Isabella.
I will add photos of Isabella using Great Ormand Streets voyager trolley.
Thank you to everyone for your on going support.
