Isabel Elise Rensland
Update from Isabel’s mom: On July 2nd we had to rush Isabel back to Texas Children’s Hospital again after noticing she wasn’t able to move her right arm and was having more difficulties walking and more loss of balance. The CT and MRI results showed the same cavernous angioma (vascular tumor) in the brain stem had a second bleed in that short amount of time she had been home from the first hospital visit. She was admitted and is still there going through intense therapy and the neurosurgeons have decided to go forward with surgery when she finishes rehab. She has made big improvements in the few weeks she has been there but will need additional physical therapy after surgery since it is located in a very critical area of the brain.
