Isaac's Mitzvah Project
Tax deductible
In the past year, Isaac has read and learned about the increase of food insecurity caused by the pandemic and unemployment. Closer to home, he has noticed and talked about the hardships of his favorite local restaurants having to dramatically cut back and shift the way they do business. He decided to take his love for cooking and baking and use it to help others.
Over the past several months, Isaac has participated in Adas Israel’s Hesed (kindness) Committee and Social Action Committee’s Adas Cooks @ Home project. Each month two recipes are sent out for synagogue community members to cook at home and donate. Isaac shops for the recipe ingredients at the nearby grocery store, cooks each recipe from scratch, and delivers the home-cooked food to Adas, where the collective baked donations are then distributed to numerous beneficiary organizations.
While baking with Adas Cooks @ Home allows Isaac to help in a hands-on way, he is also raising money for World Central Kitchen, Jose Andres’ philanthropic operation that provides meals to communities during large-scale disasters and also employs restaurant workers during this time while the restaurant industry is impacted by the pandemic.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit World Central Kitchen, Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
