Hi, my name is Joseph and I will be attempting to complete an Ironman next April in Memory of my truly amazing friend Sam Odotei.

He tragically passed away earlier this year on the 17th January 2025 whilst doing the thing he loved most, playing basketball. In honour of Sam's life and legacy, we (99 Sqn and Sams wonderful friends and family) are embarking on a mission to build a school in Ghana, where Sam spent his formative years. This school will serve as a beacon of hope, providing education and opportunities for children in the community he held dear.

Our aim is to build the Education Centre in Sakpe, Ghana in May 2026, so in order to raise money for this enormous project, I have signed up for Ironman Texas which will take place April 18th 2026. All the money that I raise will be sent straight to the TrueNorth Trust charity, the charity behind this whole project.
