Dear Family and Friends,
            
              My name is Iris, and on May 15th I along with six other Chestnut Hill College students will be traveling to Kenya in East Africa on a service-learning trip.  We will be staying at the convent of the Little Sisters of St. Francis thanks to the coordination of the African Sisters Education Collaborative, based in Pennsylvania.

We will be serving in a variety of ministries in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, “The Green City In The Sun.” We will be volunteering and tutoring in local schools, hospitals, refugee centers, and homeless shelters throughout the city.

Each of us needs to raise $2,000 to cover our traveling expenses. Vaccination cost and  visa expenses are a seperate cost estimaated at $500.00.  I would deeply appreciate any  donation you could give to support me in this journey . I know that this is not only a great experience as a servant, but also an opportunity to  broaden my appreciation of Kenya’s deep culture and history.  I can't wait  to share stories, pictures and experience on my return.
