Joe has been struggling with his eye sight since April 2013. He has Diabetic Retinopathy, which has led to chronic vitreous hemorrhages in both of his eyes. This illness has left him with very poor vision and unable to work. Over the past year, he has been out of work for six months in all and has undergone seven surgeries along with multiple eye injections.
