More information about Her Justice (Her Justice): Her Justice stands with women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to address individual and systemic legal barriers. What makes Her Justice unique is its “pro bono first" model through which we connect volunteer lawyers from over 80 law firms and corporations with women living in poverty who desperately need a lawyer. By providing expert training, advice and mentoring to the private bar, Her Justice brings the power of the legal profession to those who need it most and leverages its small legal staff, increasing exponentially the number of women who obtain the legal protections they need to avoid homelessness and overcome poverty and abuse.
