Help Kai Swan Attend Pratt Summer Program

Hey! It's Bianca, Kai's mama!

If you know me, you know I am very private and prideful. I do not like asking for help. However, my pride can not get in the way of providing for my son, Kai Swan, so please know how sincere and humble this request is.

Kai was accepted into the Pratt Institute Summer Pre-College Program. He will get to spend four weeks of intensive courses in art, design, architecture, and writing, taught by Pratt faculty on its Brooklyn campus. Kai will gain college-level skills, strengthen his portfolio, and earn college credits – all while experiencing the creative energy of New York City.

This program cost $7441, not including travel and expenses.

As a single parent, it has been a chore maintaining an equitable upbringing for Kai while living in Los Angeles. I make keeping up with my peers look easy but truth be told, its all hanging together by spit, strings, and the blessings of my ancestors.

I am grateful to be in a position to be able to pay for most of the tuition and was brainstorming on how I can come up with the remaining funds without getting "strang for some change" (though I am not fully opposed to it depending on how strange we are talking lol).

I am leaning in on my village, to ask for your help, no matter how big or how small.

Any amount would be helpful.

I am grateful to all of you who have been supportitive of my baby over the years and bare witness to his growth as a human and an artist. He is excelling in both. My cup runneth over.
